DAS M is a solo project of a guy calling himself Sinusforscher and coming from Austria. He released some cassettes only in the early 90’s. He produces a lovely mixture of analogue electropop and electro with German lyrics and makes use of some of the usual suspects of analogue synthesisers and drum machines. The songs are spacey, catchy, minimalistic with some having a strong reference to KRAFTWERK, but you can clearly feel that he never cared much about success or fashions and simply recorded the music he likes. Equipment used: Ensoniq ASR 10, Korg Wavestation, Roland CR-78/JX-3P/MC-202/SH-101/TB-303/TR-606/TR-808, OSC Oscar, SCI Pro-One, Yamaha TX-81Z. Hertzschrittmacher are doing a great job recently, after the Arnaud Lazlaud single, this album is another definiter must-have for lovers of the ‘anna/logue’ sound. (с)
